Why Circles for events
Event styling is a different discipline from everyday styling. It has to cope with heat, dancing, a veil and a car with the windows down.
How any style behaves depends on your hair, the weather and the day itself, so we will not put a number on it. What we do control is where the difference between a professional upstyle and a DIY one shows up.
Book hair and makeup together and the eye is balanced against the hairline, the finish is matched to the lighting you will actually be in, and you are out the door faster. For weddings and bridal parties, start with a trial and we will build the morning’s schedule with you.
Styling
All styling services are available at both Subiaco and Fitzgerald, with late nights on Wednesday and Thursday and an 8am start on Saturdays. Prices range across our five stylist levels.

Best for: Looking properly finished for dinner, a shoot, a presentation or just a good Friday.
A soothing wash and scalp massage, a flawless blow-out and a finish styled the way you want it: smooth and sleek, soft and bouncy, or straight and glass-like. Tell your stylist which and it is done.

Best for: Big, bouncy, properly voluminous hair with more staying power than a standard blow dry.
Wash, blow-dry, then a classic velcro roller set that cools into shape. The rollers are what give this style its staying power. It is the service to book when you want the most volume we can give you.

Best for: That polished, textured wave you have saved eleven photos of.
Our most-booked styling service and the one people recognise us for. Irons or a wand are used to build movement and texture rather than uniform curls, brushed out to sit soft, deliberate and undone. Works on almost every hair length and type.

Best for: A fresh-looking blow dry when your hair is already clean and you are short on time.
The look of a fresh blowout without the wash. A styling-only service using hot tools to build smooth volume, shape and a polished finish. Wash is not included, so come with clean, dry hair.

Best for: Weddings, races, formals, black tie: anything where the hair has to be right all the way through.
Buns, ponytails, half-up half-down, braided detail, sculpted and undone. Bring your inspiration photos or let our artists recommend a shape for your dress, your face and your hair’s texture. Pinned and set properly, with the grips and product placed where your hair actually needs them. Prefer it all in one appointment? Makeup
Book makeup with your hair and the two looks are designed together, and you are in and out faster.

Our in-house makeup artists build an on-trend application designed to photograph beautifully and hold all night. A tailored lash application is included.

Event day
The most common reason an event morning goes sideways is the schedule, not the hair. Here is how to plan it.
Not from the ceremony. Photographers usually start 1 hour before. That is your real deadline.
For hair and makeup together. Hair alone is 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on the style.
It holds pins and shape far better than freshly washed hair. Wash the day before and skip conditioner at the roots.
Three or four inspiration shots, plus a photo of the dress, headpiece or veil so the hair is designed around it, not against it.
Well before the day. We lock the look in, test how it holds on your hair, and time the morning properly.

Before you book
A blow dry and style is $80–$112 depending on the level of stylist you book, and includes the wash, the blow-dry and the finished style. Our Signature Waves service is $77. An event upstyle is $135–$165.
Hair type, length, how oily your scalp runs, the weather and what you do overnight all change the answer, so we will not quote you a number. What we can tell you is what helps: a silk pillowcase, dry shampoo at the roots before you need it rather than after, loosely pinning or plaiting it at night, and keeping your hands out of it. A roller set is built to hold its shape longer than a standard blow dry, and an upstyle is pinned and set to get you through the whole event. Tell your stylist how long you need it to look good for and they will style it accordingly.
Work backwards. Hair and makeup together needs 2–2.5 hours; hair alone 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on the style. Then add travel and dressing time. For 6pm photos, a 2:30pm booking is comfortable. Both salons are open until 9pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays and from 8am on Saturdays, which covers most event timings.
Yes, in salon, for the bride and the whole party. We recommend a trial well before the day so we can lock in the exact look, test how it holds on your hair, and time the morning properly. Get in touch through our bridal enquiry and we will build a schedule around your ceremony time.
Day-two hair holds pins and shape far better than freshly washed hair. Wash the day before, skip heavy conditioner through the roots, and come with your hair dry and brushed out. If you would rather we washed it, book a blow dry with your upstyle and we will build it in.
Please do: bring three or four. Photos remove the guesswork faster than any description. Bring one or two of looks you actively dislike too; that is often more useful. If you are wearing a strong dress, headpiece or veil, send or bring a photo of that as well so the hair is designed around it.
Either. Makeup is $90 for eyes only and $150 for a full face with a tailored lash included. Book them separately or together. Together is faster and the looks are designed to work as one.
