Addresses & hours

Circles of Hair has been colouring and cutting hair in Perth for more than 30 years, and is a seven-time AHIA and AHFA Salon of the Year. Both salons run the same service list, the same price list and the same five stylist levels, so the choice between them is about geography and which space you would rather spend three hours in, not about which gets the better hairdresser.

Subiaco is bold and modern: vibrant blue arches, a custom scalloped colour bar, and a Kérastase Fusio-Dose bar where you watch your treatment being mixed. It is open six days, and it is where perms are done.

Fitzgerald is the heritage one: original bones, a brass colour bar in our favourite shade of pink, a brass chandelier over the treatment bar, and Circles Xpresso barista coffee served through the window. The basin area sits away from the floor on purpose.

Which one?

How to pick between them

The work, the prices and the stylist levels are identical. These are the only things that actually differ.

Book Subiaco if…

You want a perm: Subiaco is the only one of our salons that does them, men’s perms included. Or you need a Monday, which Fitzgerald is closed. Or you are coming from the western suburbs and street parking on Hay Street suits you better than North Perth.

Book Fitzgerald if…

You are in or near the city, you would rather a heritage building with a brass colour bar and Circles Xpresso coffee than a bright modern fit-out, or you want the quiet basin area away from the salon floor. Open five days, Tuesday through Saturday.

It genuinely does not matter if…

You are booking colour, a cut, extensions, styling, or any treatment. Same price list, same five stylist levels, same product range, same training. Book whichever is easier to get to, because the work is the same.

Phone number is the same for both (1300 160 198) and it reaches whichever salon you ask for. Each salon has its own page with photos, what to expect and its own FAQs.

Before you come in

What is worth knowing

None of this is unique to us, but it is the stuff people wish they had known before their first appointment.

01

Ten minutes apart

If your stylist is booked out at one salon, the other is a short drive away and the price is identical. Reception will tell you which has the earlier opening if you ask.

02

Parking

Subiaco has street parking along Hay Street and the side streets around it. Fitzgerald has street parking on Fitzgerald and behind it, and it is a few minutes north of the city.

03

One booking system, both salons

You choose the salon when you book online, so live availability for both sits in the same place. If neither shows what you want, call 1300 160 198. Cancellations do not always make it back online straight away.

04

Perms are Subiaco only

Perming is a specialised skill and the stylists who do it well are at Subiaco. More on perms and smoothing.

Quick answers

Questions about our two salons

Which salon should I book?

For a perm, Subiaco, which is the only one of the two that does them. For a Monday appointment, Subiaco again, because Fitzgerald is closed. For anything else, book whichever is easier for you to get to. Same price list, same five stylist levels, same products and the same training behind both floors.

Are the prices different between the two salons?

No. One price list across both. What you pay depends on the level of the stylist you book, not which salon you walk into. See the price list.

Do both salons do the same services?

Everything except perms, which are Subiaco only. Colour, cuts, extensions, styling and makeup, and every in-salon treatment run at both.

How far apart are they?

About ten minutes by car. Subiaco is on the Hay Street strip; Fitzgerald is in North Perth, a few minutes north of the city.
